STEP 2: After reading the comic book or graphic novel that you chose and got approval for, answer the following questions based on it: 1. Why did you choose this story? What about it drew you to it personally? 2. What is the setting of the story? 3. Describe the style of the artwork in your own words. Tell me about what the style of art adds to the story. 4. Briefly summarize the plot of the story in your own words. Your summary should be 150 words or less. The goal is to be concise. 5. Who is the main character of the story? What is special about that character? Why does this character appeal to people? 6. What is the climax of this particular story? Quote a line from the climax and tell me how you know that's it. 7. Tell about the history of the comic book you chose. When was the main character first developed? What important events were going on at that time? Be sure you cite the source of the information you find about it. 8. What is the THEME of the story? Give me some evidence that this is the theme. 9. Tell me your opinion of the story. What did you like about it? What did you not like? 10. Do you think the work you chose should be considered seriously as a for of literature/ art? Why or why not?
