Refund Policy

This Refund Policy governs the purchase and use of prepaid wallet credits on the OGwriter platform. By using our Services and purchasing credits, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy. This policy is aligned with standard industry practices and complies with the applicable laws of India.

1. General Policy & Prepaid Credits

OGwriter operates as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform using a prepaid wallet system. Due to the immediate cost incurred by third-party Artificial Intelligence (AI) API calls (such as OpenAI or Anthropic) during content generation, we strictly do not offer refunds for any successful payments or recharge of wallet credits.

All purchases are considered final. Once wallet credits are added to your account, they are exclusively to be utilized on the platform and cannot be encashed or transferred.

2. Non-Refundable Scenarios

  • Content Quality/Expectations: Refunds are not provided if the AI-generated content does not meet subjective expectations or requires manual editing, as the AI outputs probabilistically.
  • Unused Credits: If you decide to stop using our platform, any unused wallet balance will remain in your account until used, but cannot be refunded to your original payment method.
  • Account Terminations: If your account is suspended or terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service (e.g., generating prohibited or illegal content), outstanding credits will be forfeited without a refund.

3. Exceptions & Billing Errors

We only issue refunds under clearly defined technical exceptions, provided you bring the issue to our attention within 3 days of the incident. These include:

  • Duplicate Charges: If a technical error causes you to be billed multiple times for the same transaction.
  • Payment Deducted but Credits Not Added: If your bank account or credit card is charged, but due to a gateway error, the amount is not credited to your OGwriter wallet. (Note: These often auto-reverse by the bank within 5-7 working days, but our team will verify the payment aggregator status).

4. Refund Process

If you believe you qualify for an exception, please contact our support team at support@ogwriter.com. You must provide the transaction ID, date of payment, and proof of deduction. Upon successful verification of an eligible claim:

  • The refund will be processed back strictly to the original source of payment (Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI) used during the transaction.
  • The credited amount usually reflects in your account within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank and the payment aggregator.

5. Jurisdiction

This Refund Policy operates in conjunction with our Terms of Service and is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection to payment and refunds are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Uttar Pradesh, India.
